Your Path to AGEL Classes: Assessment and Placement Guide
At the Academy for Global Education and Leadership (AGEL), students come together to build real-world skills, practice strong English, and grow as confident global leaders ready to make an impact in their communities and careers. AGEL focuses on practical learning, small-group support, and personal attention so you never feel like “just another student” in the classroom.
You are ready to start something new—a class that challenges you, helps you grow, and maybe even changes your future. AGEL is here to make sure your journey begins in the right place, and that starts with one simple step: your assessment and placement.
Why Assessments Matter
Think of the assessment as your educational “getting-to-know-you.” It helps AGEL understand what you already know and what you are ready to learn next, especially in English and skills for school, work, or leadership. It is not about passing or failing; it is about matching you with the class where you can feel confident, challenged, and supported at the same time.
Whether you want to improve your English for university, your job, or future leadership opportunities, the assessment makes sure you don’t start too high or too low—it puts you at the level that fits you best.
What the Placement Process Looks Like
Here’s what happens once you schedule your test:
Step 1: Take your assessment.
You’ll complete a short evaluation of your skills (often including things like reading, listening, writing, and speaking) so AGEL can see your current level clearly.Step 2: Talk with an academic advisor.
You’ll have a friendly conversation about your goals—whether that is studying abroad, advancing at work, or building stronger communication skills—and which AGEL class fits best.Step 3: Get your placement and register.
Once your level is confirmed, you’ll choose your class and secure your seat in the session that begins on February 2, 2026.
The whole process is designed to be welcoming, simple, and encouraging, so you feel supported from your very first interaction with AGEL.
